Show Up Like the Person You’re Becoming

Some days I nail it. Other days I barely recognise the guy in the mirror.

I have sessions where I’m on fire - clear, sharp, locked in. And then I have days

where I’m scrambling through tasks, doubting everything, wondering what the hell

I’m even doing with my life.

The difference? It’s not motivation. It’s not willpower. It’s whether or not I acted like

the person I’m trying to become.

Most people wait. They wait to feel confident. Wait until they’re certain. Wait until

they’re in the right headspace or feel like the best version of themselves. But here’s

the truth - you don’t become that version by waiting. You become that version by

acting like them before you feel like them.

When I coach athletes or execs through high-pressure moments, I bring them back

to one simple question:

“What would the strongest version of you do right now?”

Not “What do you feel like doing?”

Not “What’s the perfect plan?”

Just: “What would the person you’re becoming choose?”

And then we go do that.

For me, that means writing the post even if no one’s engaging. It means training

when I’m flat, coaching even when I’m carrying my own doubts, and backing myself

when part of me would rather shrink. Why? Because the version of me I’m building -

he shows up.

If you’re stuck right now - inconsistent, second-guessing, caught in a loop - try this:

don’t wait to feel like that person. Start showing up like them. That’s how confidence

is built. Not in the planning. Not in the perfect moment. In the showing up.

One rep at a time. One post at a time. One decision at a time.

You don’t need to become them overnight. You just need to hold the line long

enough for it to stop feeling like pretending - and start feeling like you.

When You Outgrow Proving Yourself

There’s a stage in life where everything runs on fuel made of pressure. Proving you can. Proving them wrong. Proving to yourself that you’re not done yet. That kind of energy burns hot - and for a whi
